Top 5 Singing in the Car Scenes

Wayne's World - Bohemian Rhapsody

FINALLY! I have had this idea for the longest time. Literally for at least 4 years. I had the idea of making a top 10 list of the best “Singing in the Car Scenes from a Comedy Movie”. The shining example is Wayne’s World car scene while they sing Bohemian Rhapsody. The list went through different phases like just scenes with only singing to music to music in the car to car scenes in general then finally made the move back to my original idea. Except instead of 10, I narrowed it down to 5. If the post gets enough buzz/views/links, I might make a part two…well see! GO READ IT NOW!!!

I’m a HERO…sort of

Nov 27

I’ve been meaning to post this story for a few weeks now and just finally got some time (and finally remembered).

So there I am, taking out the trash on Friday, November 19th when all the sudden this fat, old beagle runs up to me. Soaking wet, covered in mud, totally lost. I check the tags and call the number on the tags. Turns out the number goes to a treasurer office. So I call 911 to report the dog hoping someone can pick it up as I have to head to work. Well they transfer me over to the records department so they can get the info of the dog and I can call them. I get the info and call and no one picks up. I can the answering machine. I leave a message saying, “Uhhh…I got your dog” and leave my number. I hang up and call 911 again to see if they can send an officer or someone to pick up the dog as once again, I still have to head to work. As soon as I get off the phone, I get another phone call. It’s the owner saying she’s home and on her way up to pick her up. The lady gets there and is beyond thankful and goes “How much do I owe you”. The greedy section of my brain explodes saying “ASK FOR MONEY! LOTS OF MONEY!!!” But I decline and say “just glad to help” in a Superman style voice. I call 911 for last time to let them know the owner came and it’s all good.

So the dog (Dottie) goes home, kids go to grandmas and I end up 40 minutes late to work. All in all…total waste of time!

Paddy’s Pub Contest – The Results

Nov 23

Below is our entry for FXNetworks.com’s “Paddy’s Pub Contest” sponsored by Coors Light. The point of the contest was to make a commercial for Paddy’s Pub, the fictional pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We didn’t win and I think it was due to the lack of Always Sunny references. It’s either that or racism…either way, we lost. If you want to view the winning entries, check’em out here. Music was by musical genius Shane Zimmerman once again!

Paddy’s Pub Contest

Nov 13

Mike and I made a video for a contest on FXNetworks.com. The point of the contest was to make a commercial for the fictional pub “Paddy’s Pub” from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia AND keep it under 20 seconds. The winning video gets their video played on FX which airs all over the country. The link below should take you straight to our video…

Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Would love to get feedback. Big thanks to Shane Zimmerman for the music on the video. He is most excellent!

Ghostbusters 3 Info…

Nov 12

Apparently, sometime back Vincent Peone and Josh Ruben conducted an interview with Harold Ramis for MakingOf.com. Mr. Ramis touches on the Ghostbusters Legacy, the status Ghostbusters 3, his recent interactions with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Rick Moranis and how people actually like seeing real people in movies instead of computer animated “people”. Check it out! Good Stuff!

Some Fan Mail

Nov 4

It’s very rare that I receive any fan mail as I’m not that famous, like at all. However a few weeks ago, a dude named Stony sent me a message through my site. It is as follows:

What’s up man!

I just wanted to say the your videos are the shit. Think i’ve watched all of’em. SO funny. Shows like Bang Boom Crash and Jake and Amir, have really inspired me to do some stuff.
Please keep it up!

Stony

I sent an email back saying thanks but also how I a BIG fan of his. He makes music videos using various clips of Jake and Amir videos mixed with his own original music and posts’em up on YouTube. I mentioned it’d be righteous if he made a BangBoomCrash one, but we don’t rap to much in ours…yet. Check this one out below and subscribe to him. Good stuff!
