Above is a video of Phyllotaxis along with Bill and Geoff from Suns Of Static doing a cover of Alice in Chains’ song Man in the box. Phyllotaxis vocals are one of a kind and I always enjoy his covers (plus ya know…I kinda know him). You can see more covers of him on his YouTube channel or check out his website. He’s releasing a full length album soon which you’ll be able to purchase. Very enjoyable stuff!
I wrote up a review for The Lonely Island’s 2nd major label album titled Turtleneck & Chain over at BrainResidue.com. Check it out, read it, comment on it, share it, pull your pants down and press your genitals against it…whatever, I won’t judge. Just have fun with it! Check it out here.
As of yesterday, I stepped on our scale and tipped it to 264 pounds. That’s a lot of Stefan. So I’m going to do my best to trim off some weight. I’m a HUGE fan of all things tasty. Me enjoying food has started at a very young age. The video below is proof of how much I enjoy all things delicious!
I’m going to attempt to do runs/walks at night when it’s cooler. Not only to burn off some weight, but also use that time to think to myself, think of comedy skits, ect. We’ll see how that goes. I’ll attempt to update my losses (or gains) here. But like everything I try to update, I’m sure it will fail. Guess we’ll see!
The other night, Sara was telling me how this ice cream truck came up our street which I thought was odd as Ice Cream Trucks never make it up to our street. Then one night I was tucking the kids in bed and I heard music. Remembering Sara’s sighting, I untucked the kids and we dashed outside to get some ice cream.
I spent most of my summers in my mid-teens at my Dad’s house on Poplar st. in York city. When I think Ice Cream truck, I think Mister Softee. I recall many of nights me and the local kids would gather around the truck as he came down our street to get banana splits and rainbow sprinkled covered ice cream cones.
This new ice cream truck lacks any soft serve treats. It’s just a big van with 2 HUGE freezer chests full of boxed ice cream. This includes Choco Tacos, Dora Ice Cream Treats, Sponge Bob Square Pants Ice Cream Treats and other Good Humor ice cream products.
While I was disappointed with this truck’s offerings, it’s still very righteous what he is doing and the kids LOVE it. They stay close to the windows with open ears waiting for the ice cream man’s music.
As I have never seen an ice cream truck like this in York, PA, I’ll be updating with more photos when I see him.
